Open Position - Treasurer

The Johnson City Schools Orchestra Guild is seeking a dedicated individual to join our board as the Treasurer. The role includes the following responsibilities: 

• Record Profits and Expenses: Manage and record all financial transactions using QuickBooks Online.
• Track Student Trip Payments: Record and monitor payments for student trips.
• File the 990: Prepare and file the annual IRS Form 990.
• Monthly Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts at the end of each month and generate a financial report for the board.
• Board Meetings: Attend monthly board meetings held on Mondays at 5 PM.
• Annual Report: Submit the Tennessee annual report and pay the associated fee online.
• Check PO Box: Periodically check the PO box for incoming mail.
• Mail 1099s: Send out 1099 forms to vendors in January.
• Concert Attendance: Attend middle school and high school concerts to collect donations and represent the board alongside other members. 

The previous treasurer has left detailed notes concerning all tasks. Our board members are supportive and great to work with. The current president will also assist in learning the tasks.
